What is the job?

The Accountant is responsible for completing a wide range of accounting tasks to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting.

Responsibilities:


• Maintains service/compliance deliverables and documentation; prepares Accountant Scorecards and status updates

• Prepares work papers, posts adjustments, drafts financial statements; compiles month-/year-end close packets

• Reconciles bank to GL and key accounts (AR/AP & retainage, prepaids, inventory, fixed assets, investments, credit cards, payroll, taxes, loans/leases, GE tax, other BS, allocations)

• Updates WIP and finalizes project over/under billing

• Guides accounting technicians to ensure accurate reconciliations and proper documentation

• Upholds compliance with clear audit trails; supports team during peak periods/OT

Qualifications:


• Certified Public Accountant or CPA eligible.

• At least one (1) year of experience in accounting tasks such as AP/AR, bank reconciliations, preparation of financial statements, and payroll.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy across all financial data and reports.

• Experience providing guidance and assistance to accounting support staff.
