Job Summary: Trading Manager

The Trading Manager will be responsible for developing and managing the company's trading business for chilled and frozen products, ensuring profitability, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This role will oversee the entire trading cycle — from supplier sourcing and price negotiation to sales, logistics coordination, and inventory management within the company's cold storage facilities.

The Trading Manager will identify market opportunities, establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, distributors, and customers, and develop pricing and sales strategies to optimize margins and inventory turnover. The role requires strong commercial judgment, familiarity with cold chain logistics, and a thorough understanding of import and export regulations for temperature-controlled goods in the Philippines.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Agriculture, Food Technology, or any related field.

At least 5 years of trading experience, preferably in cold storage goods, meat, poultry, seafood, or other temperature-controlled products.

Strong understanding of cold chain operations, inventory management, and importation procedures.

Proven negotiation and contract management skills.

Strong analytical and commercial decision-making abilities.

Knowledge of PH regulatory requirements for frozen and chilled goods (DA, NMIS, BFAR, BOC, FDA).

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Proficiency in MS Excel and other trading or inventory systems is an advantage.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple trading lines simultaneously.
