Cost Engineer

Job description:

1. Cost Planning and Estimation

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
• Provide accurate cost forecasts and financial reports to the Construction Manager and President.
• Create a schedule for purchasing materials based on the work schedule.

2. Tender Management

• Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts with contractors and suppliers.
• Assess and recommend appropriate procurement strategies.

3. Cost Control and Financial Reporting

• Monitor project costs and control expenditures.
• Prepare regular financial reports and statements.
• Conduct cost analysis and recommend cost-saving measures.

4. Measurement and Valuation

• Conduct accurate measurement and valuation of construction work.
• Certify and prepare interim and final payment certificates.
• Assess and value variations and change orders.

5. Maintain detailed project schedules and monitor project progress.

6. Prepare and update progress reports for Management.

7. Conduct quantity surveying tasks, preparing BOQs, cost estimates.

8. Attend project meetings and provide input on scheduling and cost matters.

Job qualification

• Graduate of BS Civil Engineering, Civil Technology, Construction Management or any related course.
• With at least 2 years relatable working experience.
• Proven experience in the construction industry, specializing in project planning, QS and cost estimation.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost estimation, schedules, and financial management.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and MS Office Suite.
• Attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and standards.
• Can work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php23, Php25,000.00 per month
