Job description

Payroll Specialist responsibilities include:

  • Calculating payable hours, commissions, bonuses, tax withholdings and deductions
  • Managing PAYCOM electronic timekeeping systems or manually collecting and reviewing timesheets
  • Providing information and answering questions about payroll-related matters
  • QuickBooks Pro
  • General Ledger
  • Full Cycle Accounting

Job brief

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team who will be responsible for all aspects of managing employee salary data, ensuring timesheets are accurate and payments are made on time. The ideal candidate will manage both incoming as well outgoing W-2 forms in order to be compliant with tax season deadlines.

Payroll Specialist responsibilities include managing all aspects of payroll, and they must accomplish required tasks promptly. Ultimately, you will work with the Accounting and HR team to ensure documents are organized and payroll-related items are handled appropriately and timely.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer payroll for employees using PAYCOM
  • Prepare reports for weekly, quarterly and yearly reviews
  • Review and abide by company policies and procedures
  • Make sure account balances are correct
  • ​Resolve payroll errors


Requirements

Requirements and skills:

  • Degree in business administration, finance or accounting preferred
  • Proven work experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role
  • Proficiency in MS Office, QuickBooks PRO, Excel, PAYCOM and payroll software programs
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Must be willing to work 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST Timezone
  • Must be open to flexible work hours and statutory holiday alignment - you may be assigned to service customers in different time-zones (CST)
