We are looking for a Technical Architect who will play a key role in shaping and executing our technical strategy.

As a Technical Architect, you will be responsible for ensuring that our technical vision is aligned with business objectives, and that this strategy is effectively implemented and followed across all teams. Your expertise will guide the design, development, and optimization of scalable and high-performance software solutions, while ensuring alignment with best practices and long-term goals.

Communicating between the technical and non-technical (technical architect)

About The Role...

• Communicate with Engineering and Product stakeholders across the organisation
• Proactively seek opportunities for architectural improvements and transformation
• Work with selected squads reviewing and advising on technical design plans, finding and using best practice and emerging technologies
• Be responsible for solving complex and high risk issues or delivering architecture design
• Assure the service design and system quality, ensuring the technical work fits into the broader strategy of Interact
• Undertake structured analysis of technical issues/projects (during project scoping), translating this analysis into technical designs that describe a solution – and facilitating Technical Leads to do the same with your oversight
• Review in-flight projects during each sprint, focusing on architectural design choices, and provide and architectural sign-off on a solution prior to release
• Work closely on strategic architectural projects
• Be consulted about design and provide design patterns
• Identify and fix deeper issues that need fixing
• Look for opportunities to collaborate and reuse components, communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Contribute, create, and maintain architectural documentation, diagrams, patterns, and principles – and provide regular sessions to the wider Engineering team for training, and calibration – reducing overall solution entropy and fractured implementation/patterns
