Senior Fund Accounting Associate – Private Equity

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review fund financial statements in accordance with GAAP and fund-specific reporting requirements.
  • Perform capital account reconciliations, investor allocations, and waterfall calculations.
  • Monitor and process fund transactions including capital calls, distributions, and management fees.
  • Support audit and tax processes, including preparing schedules and responding to inquiries.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to internal teams and external investors.
  • Collaborate with portfolio and operations teams to resolve accounting issues and implement process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
  • 3–5+ years of fund accounting experience, preferably in private equity or alternative investments.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, partnership accounting, and private equity structures.
  • Advanced Excel and accounting system skills (e.g., Investran, Geneva, or eFront).
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
