Accounting Officer

The Account Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, monitoring expenses, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. The role ensures timely processing of transactions and provides management with reliable financial data for informed decision-making.
II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Financial Recording & Reporting
· Prepare and maintain accurate financial records (GL, journal entries, ledgers).
· Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
· Prepare financial statements such as Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow.
· Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
· Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.
B. Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
· Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
· Maintain updated AP and AR tracking.
· Prepare billing statements and follow up on outstanding receivables.
· Validate expense reports and supporting documents.
C. Compliance & Regulatory Requirements
· Ensure adherence to BIR regulations and government reporting requirements.
· Assist in preparation and filing of BIR forms (1601C, 2550M/Q, 2307, 2316, etc.).
· Maintain audit-ready files and records.
D. Internal Controls & Audit Support
· Implement and monitor compliance with internal accounting policies.
· Assist during internal and external audits by providing required documents.
· Verify accuracy and completeness of financial data.
E. General Administrative & Support Functions
· Maintain proper documentation and filing system for accounting records.
· Coordinate with suppliers, banks, and internal departments related to financial matters.
· Perform other related accounting tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Graduate of BS Accountancy or BS Management Accounting
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles, bookkeeping, AP/AR, and financial reports
- Proficient in MS Excel and familiar with accounting software
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical skills
- Good communication, organization, and time-management skills
- High integrity, confidentiality, and ability to work under deadlines
- Experience or in AP/AR, billing, audit, payroll, or bookkeeping is an advantage
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to Php20,000.00 per month
