We are seeking a mission-driven Senior Financial Advisor to join our team and play a vital role in improving the financial well-being of our employees. This unique position is dedicated to advising rank-and-file workers and office workers up to Executive level on personal financial matters, with an emphasis on helping them budget effectively, strategize when unforeseen economic situations arise and experience lasting freedom from debt.

The ideal candidate is not only financially savvy but also compassionate and experienced in working with individuals from lower to middle economic backgrounds, including those with limited access to traditional financial services. Experience in microfinance, community development finance, or grassroots financial literacy programs is highly desirable.


Key Responsibilities:

  • One-on-One Financial Advising: Offer confidential, individualized financial counseling to employees seeking guidance on managing personal finances, evaluating loan offers, or reducing debt.
  • Financial Education Workshops: Develop and lead group sessions on budgeting, credit management, loan literacy, and debt repayment strategies.
  • Loan & Credit Review Support: Help employees understand and assess the terms of bank loans, payday loans, credit cards, or other financial products to make informed decisions.
  • Customized Debt Repayment Planning: Collaborate with employees to develop tailored plans for debt reduction, considering their income, expenses, and long-term goals.
  • Budget Coaching: Guide employees in creating realistic and sustainable monthly budgets aligned with their financial goals.
  • Resource Connection: Direct employees to the company's interest-free loans, reputable community resources or other financial assistance programs when appropriate.
  • Impact Tracking: Measure and report on employee financial health improvements using anonymized data and feedback to inform future programming.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in personal financial advising, financial counseling, or financial education.
  • Proven experience working with underserved populations or lower-income communities; background in microfinance, nonprofit financial education, or community development finance preferred.
  • Strong understanding of consumer banking products, credit systems, interest calculations and debt management tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cultural competency skills including communicating in Tagalog.
  • Empathy, discretion, and a nonjudgmental approach to sensitive financial issues.
  • Certification in financial counseling or coaching (e.g., AFC, FFC, CFP, or equivalent) is a plus.
