About the role

We are searching for an experienced Database Administrator to join our talented technology team at ARTECH TECHNOLOGY INC'. As a Database Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimising the performance of our mission-critical database systems. This is a hybrid role, allowing you to work both in our office in Manila City Metro Manila and remotely, providing the flexibility to balance your work and personal commitments.

What you'll be doing

  1. Administering and maintaining database servers, including installation, configuration, and upgrades
  2. Monitoring database performance, identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal system availability and data integrity
  3. Developing and implementing backup and recovery strategies to protect the company's critical data
  4. Automating routine database maintenance tasks to improve efficiency
  5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand and address data-related requirements
  6. Providing technical support and training to end-users on database-related matters
  7. Staying up-to-date with the latest database technologies, trends, and best practices

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator, preferably in a similar industry or role
  2. Strong proficiency in database management systems, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
  3. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex database-related issues
  4. Hands-on experience with database performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security best practices
  5. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, Bash) to automate database tasks
  6. Good understanding of database architecture, design, and modelling principles
  7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
