Overview

This role manages one or more client engagements or components of large-scale engagements, while individually contributing to quality work. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical knowledge, coaching, and training to junior team members
  • Achieving realization, revenue, and profitability targets
  • Participating in team management, including feedback and development
  • Engaging in business development and internal collaboration across the firm

Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

As a Manager – Indirect Tax, duties include:

  • Managing multiple client engagements or parts of large projects
  • Developing and implementing indirect tax strategies (GST, VAT, etc.) for Australian client
  • Ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities for tax efficiency
  • Overseeing tax return preparation and filing
  • Coordinating with external tax authorities during audits
  • Analyzing tax implications of business transactions and advising management
  • Conducting internal training on indirect tax best practices
  • Leading client engagement meetings and presentations
  • Mentoring junior team members to support their professional growth

Expertise & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the candidate should have:

  • Solid exposure to
    Australian tax
    and accounting legislation
  • Strong technical knowledge in AU tax compliance, advisory, and accounting standards
  • At least 4 years of experience in tax consulting with 1 year in management role
  • CA or CTA (or equivalent) qualification
  • A relevant tertiary or postgraduate degree
  • Ability to simplify and clearly communicate complex concepts
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Initiative and openness to innovative solutions in a dynamic service environment

Work Setup: Hybrid (3x RTO per week)
