Leachate Treatment Plant Supervisor

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Sanitary Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in wastewater or leachate treatment facility operations.
• Knowledge of leachate treatment processes, chemical dosing, filtration systems, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis, report preparation, and regulatory documentation.
• Experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of wastewater treatment equipment.
• Familiarity with DENR regulations, environmental permits, and laboratory testing protocols.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-risk environment with strict compliance standards.
• Knowledge in LTP is an Advantage

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Maintenance

• Oversee daily operations of the Leachate Treatment Plant (LTP) to ensure proper treatment and discharge.
• Monitor and analyze system performance, making adjustments as needed to maintain efficiency.
• Ensure routine inspection, calibration, and maintenance of pumps, aerators, filtration systems, and other equipment.
• Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate necessary repairs or upgrades.

Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure all leachate treatment activities comply with DENR (Department of Environment and Natural Resources) and other regulatory agencies' requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation of sampling, analysis, and treatment logs.
• Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory authorities.
• Coordinate with environmental officers for periodic water quality testing and audits.

Staff Supervision & Training

• Supervise and coordinate plant operators and maintenance personnel.
• Conduct training on safety protocols, equipment operation, and environmental compliance.
• Ensure adherence to safety and emergency procedures to prevent spills and contamination

Process Improvement & Cost Efficiency

• Identify opportunities to optimize treatment processes and reduce operational costs.
• Implement improvements in leachate treatment technology, chemical usage, and sludge management.
• Coordinate with suppliers for the procurement of necessary chemicals and spare parts.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Management

• Enforce safety policies and procedures for personnel working in the facility.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to minimize environmental impact.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of treatment by-products and sludge.
