URGENT HIRING

The position is a project-based and will be required to report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: PROJECT-BASED/PROBATIONARY

Required /Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills

2. Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems

3. Familiarity with rig-specific equipment and machinery, water pumps and vehicles

4. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams

5. Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques

6. Understanding of safety procedures and regulations

7. Strong problem-solving abilities

8. Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members

9. Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices

10. Ability to work in challenging environmental conditions and tight deadlines

11. Willing to travel and be assigned to another location or project anywhere in the Philippines.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Routine Maintenance

Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on rig equipment, including engines, generators, pumps, motors, and hydraulic systems. This involves checking fluid levels, lubricating moving parts, and replacing worn components to prevent breakdowns and ensure reliability.

2. Troubleshooting and Repairs

Diagnose mechanical issues by inspecting equipment, conducting tests, and consulting technical manuals and diagrams. Implement effective repair solutions in a timely manner to minimize downtime and ensure continuous rig operation. This may involve repairing or replacing faulty components, adjusting settings, and performing calibration procedures.

3. Emergency Response

Respond promptly to mechanical breakdowns and emergencies to restore rig functionality and prevent safety hazards. Work closely with rig crew members to assess the situation, identify solutions, and execute repair plans under pressure.

4. Safety Compliance

Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and others. Conduct safety inspections, report hazards, and participate in safety meetings and training sessions to promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance.

5. Documentation and Reporting

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and inventory levels.

Document equipment specifications, serial numbers, and maintenance histories to track performance and facilitate future maintenance planning. Prepare detailed reports and maintenance logs for review by supervisors and regulatory agencies as required.

6. Collaboration and Communication

Collaborate effectively with rig crew members, supervisors, and external contractors to coordinate maintenance activities, prioritize task, and ensure smooth workflow. Communicate clearly and professionally to convey technical information, provide status updates, and seek assistance or guidance when needed.

7. Continuous Improvement

Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancement in rig maintenance and mechanical systems. Participate in training programs, workshops, and professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Education

Highschool Diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in diesel mechanics, heavy equipment repair, or a related field is preferred.

2. Experience

At least 1 year of experience as a mechanic, preferably in the exploration and mining industry or a similar field. Familiarity with rig equipment and systems is advantageous.

3. Skill

Strong mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting skills. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics. Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Welding and fabrication experience is desirable.

4. Attributes

Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Flexibility to work long hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.

5.Physical Requirements

Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces. Comfortable working at heights and in indoor environment with varying weather conditions.
