As a Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will oversee daily restaurant, bar, or banquet operations, ensuring smooth service, staff coordination, and guest satisfaction. Main Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Ensures all guests receive impeccable service, creating a welcoming and luxurious dining experience.
- Handles guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Engages with guests, building rapport and ensuring their expectations are exceeded.
- Monitors service quality, ensuring consistency with fine dining and brand standards.
- Assists in organizing and overseeing VIP service, special events, and private dining experiences.
Operational
- Supervises daily restaurant, bar, and/or banquet operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Oversees table settings, presentation, and adherence to fine dining service etiquette.
- Coordinates with the kitchen, bar, and front-of-house teams to maintain seamless service flow.
- Ensures compliance with health, hygiene, and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections.
- Assists in managing inventory, ordering supplies, and monitoring stock levels.
- Supports the restaurant manager in scheduling, shift planning, and staff allocations.
- Ensures all POS transactions, billing, and payments are handled accurately.
Personnel
- Leads, trains, and mentors F&B staff to maintain the highest service standards.
- Conducts pre-shift briefings to communicate daily specials, VIP guests, and service priorities.
- Motivates and encourages a positive team environment, fostering collaboration and professionalism.
- Assists in conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback for staff development.
Other Duties
- Attends team meetings and F&B leadership discussions, contributing ideas for improvement.
- Assists in planning promotions, themed dining events, and seasonal menu changes.
- Ensures all staff adhere to the hotel's grooming, uniform, and presentation standards.
- Assists in budget control, cost management, and revenue optimization strategies.
- Performs any additional duties assigned by the Restaurant Manager or F&B Manager.
- Willing to be deployed to Grenada (Caribbean).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an F&B supervisory role within a luxury hotel, fine dining restaurant, or high-end resort.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, food & beverage service, and fine dining etiquette.
- Experience in wine, spirits, and cocktail service, with certification in Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) preferred.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong ability to train, mentor, and motivate a diverse team.
- Experience using POS systems, reservation management software, and basic financial reporting.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and peak service times.
- Fluent in English; additional languages such as French, Spanish, Italian, or Mandarin are an advantage.
- Certification in Food Safety Handling and Hospitality Management training is a plus.
