Biosecurity Guard

Seeking a biosecurity guard to fulfill dual roles: that of a security guard, plus that of a biosecurity guard.

Duties & responsibilities of a SECURITY GUARD:

• Controlling, monitoring and recording the entry and exit of all people, biological assets, vehicles and objects according to company protocols;
• Patrolling and monitoring activities on company premises;
• Counting and recording animal movement;
• Checking if documents are completely and correctly filled up;
• Providing detailed reports on daily activities and any untoward incidents and directly reporting to management;
• Denying entry to trespassers and all violators of any company policy, rule, regulation or protocol;
• Ensuring peace and order at all times;
• Other related duties & responsibilities.

Duties & Responsibilities of a BIOSECURITY GUARD:

• Biosecurity refers to protocols, systems and practices that prevent the introduction and spread of harmful microorganisms such as viruses and bacteria, that are detrimental to animal husbandry. In animal farming, biosecurity is essential in maintaining high herd health, and ultimately, ensuring the success of farm operations.
• As a biosecurity guard, one is expected to follow a specific set of management practices created to keep biosecurity at a high level - this includes cleaning and disinfection of all people, vehicles and objects;
• Implementing quarantine measures;
• Ensuring that all biosecurity measures, protocols, practices are correctly implemented;
• Providing reports on biosecurity breaches and directly reporting it to management;
• Ensuring that all biosecurity tools and equipment are well-maintained and properly functioning;
