REQUIREMENTS:
- Suitable licensed building/civil engineering technical qualification/degree
- Preferably with Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management.
- Professional license (Architect, Civil or Structural Engineering) is a plus
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the field as QA / QC Officer in CSA/Fitout Works or Site Manager, or related work.
- Must have experience in vertical projects (resort and the like) and hospitality projects.
- Local experience in Mimaropa Region is a plus.
- Willing to be assigned in Palawan.
- Experience in the following; Inspection and quality control of foundation work (including Isolated and Mat Foundations), load-bearing walls, retaining walls and other structural elements.
- Monitoring reinforcement installation, formwork, and concrete pouring activities which includes, checking the alignment, levels, and dimensions of structural elements.
- Overseeing civil works such as grading, excavation, drainage systems, and utility installations.
- Familiarity with soil testing, compaction methods, and geotechnical investigations. Inspecting and ensuring the quality of architectural finishes, including flooring, wall cladding, ceilings, and painting.
- Quality control for the installation of building envelope components, such as curtain walls, windows, doors, and roofing systems.
- Overseeing the installation and quality of interior design elements, including millwork, cabinetry, and fixtures. Reviewing project drawings, specifications, and design documents to ensure compliance with quality standards and project requirements.
- Coordinating with laboratories for material testing and certification. Ensuring that all construction activities comply with the codes and standards such as; ACI, AISC, ASTM, and local building codes.
- Maintaining comprehensive quality records, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports.
- Coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues and ensure project requirements are met.
- Developing and implementing project-specific QA/QC plans, procedures, and checklists.
- Proficiency in the following; Overseeing the construction and quality of structural systems, such as concrete and steel frames, shear walls, and core walls.
- Checking the integrity and stability of these structures through regular inspections and testing.
- Checking the alignment, aesthetics, and material specifications of finished surfaces.
- Ensuring the quality of exterior landscaping, hardscaping, and architectural features.
- Inspecting and testing construction materials, including concrete, steel, masonry, and finishing materials.
- Preparing and submitting quality reports to project stakeholders.
- Conducting regular site inspections, audits, and quality meetings to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Knowledge of concrete mix designs, curing methods, and testing for compressive strength and durability.
- Knowledge of waterproofing, thermal insulation, and air barrier systems to ensure the integrity and performance of the building envelope.
- Analytic and technical skills in the field of Civil and Architectural works
- Understanding in technical plans, shop drawings, and inspection documentations
- Good communications skills - including communications with peers and contactors
- Proactive mentality in site supervision and inspection, diligent enough to learn system process and communicates the right questions
- Familiarity with google based platform and online based EDMS
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Monitoring and administering the QA/QC Plan, programme and procedures and ensuring incorporated materials on construction projects are in compliance with the plans and specifications.
- Assuring that the work is performed as required by the contract and meets or exceeds the required qualities.
- Assuring the acceptable quality of materials, processes, and workmanship in the project work.
- Assisting the Package Managers, Senior Project Manager, Construction Manager and/or Quality Assurance and Quality Control Engineer on CSA / Fitout activities such as concrete pouring inspections and pre-requisite activities (steel reinforcement checking, batching plant inspection, slump tests, etc), all in accordance to the approved construction drawings and/or technical submissions.
- Prepare non-compliance reports on works not adhering to the materials and methodology approvals and quality standards of the project, monitor and implement mitigation plans to address every report.
- Issue materials receiving reports for the delivered materials.
- Interface with other package managers or QA/QC officers for scope and contractor's works alignment
- Following up the concreting works in a presence of the Contractor's Engineer(s), PM or CM, this includes; rebars inspection, formworks, slump test and sample cylinders preparation for the compressive test.
- Finishing work checking in the presence of the Engineer or Consultant, block, plaster, painting, tiling, ceiling works, lighting and other MEPF embedded works, setting out and specialty finishing preparations.
- Maintain standards of safety and comply with Company's Health, Safety and Environment Management System requirements.
- Ensuring set and approved benchmark for structural works and/or architectural are followed and implemented across the project.
- Proactive site inspections and monitoring on contractors works, material deliveries, and maintaining up-to-date inspection trackers, keyplans and monitoring .
- Proactive interaction with the contractor and system compliance to issuance of non-conforming works .
- Follow and maintain standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements.
- Ensure full implementation of quality system standards, forms and procedures.
- Other duties as they become necessary.
