About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Tax Assistant Manager to lead tax due diligence reviews, oversee M&A tax implications, and manage tax compliance and return preparation. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, in-depth knowledge of Philippine tax laws, and leadership experience in guiding junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct tax due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Provide tax planning advice and evaluate M&A tax implications.
  • Oversee preparation and filing of corporate tax returns to ensure compliance.
  • Stay updated on tax law changes and conduct research for tax planning strategies.
  • Mentor, train, and manage junior tax staff to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in Philippine tax compliance, due diligence, and M&A.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Experience in top 10 accounting/consultancy firms in the Philippines preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
  • Willing to work onsite; must be based in Metro Manila or nearby provinces (Laguna, Cavite, etc.).
