Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or any relevant course
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience as a Tax Accountant in a public accounting firm
  • At least 1 year of US Tax Accountant experience
  • Experience with journal entry preparation, accrual vs. cash basis of accounting
  • Experience preparing 1040, 1120, 1065, 5471, 5472, FBAR, and other tax forms
  • Client contact experience.
  • Must have working knowledge in any of the following accounting software: Ultra Tax CS, CCH ProSystems, QuickBooks, and/or Practice CS
  • Proficiency in Excel for managing and analyzing financial data
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in tax filings and documentation
  • Amenable to work in a Hybrid set-up
  • Willing to work the night shift

Responsibilities:

  • Become familiar with the firm's policies and procedures;
  • Prepare individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, including OVDP and Streamlined compliance;
  • Review client data and prepare journal entries;
  • Assist clients with accounting matters;
  • Identify, research, and advise on tax issues and planning opportunities;
  • Multi-state income tax compliance and planning, including non-resident withholding and composite state income tax returns;
  • Provide client support for audits and responses to notices from taxing authorities;
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, helping to provide industry knowledge and experience;
  • Build and manage effective working relationships with clients.
