Position: Structural Designer

Location: The Link Building, Cebu IT Park

Employment Type: Full-time, Long-term


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • At least 6 months of experience in any field of Civil Engineering
  • Passed the Civil Engineering Licensure Exam
  • CE Licensure Exam placer (preferred but not required)
  • Strong academic background in major structural engineering subjects (e.g., RC Design, Steel Design, etc.)
  • Honors graduate or Master's degree (preferred but not required)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of the mechanics of materials
  • Proficiency in Excel and CAD software
  • Basic knowledge of AISC 13th / 14th / 15th Edition provisions (ASD/LRFD)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and understand structural design drawings and specifications created by Engineers of Record (EOR) in English
  • Raise clarification questions (RFIs) to resolve ambiguities in EOR documents
  • Produce precise calculations for steel connections using hand calculations, Excel, and Mathcad software
  • Master and apply AISC ASD/LRFD design methodologies and related codes/guides in connection design
  • Create clear, accurate sketches and drawings of connection designs
  • Communicate key design information effectively with colleagues and clients, both verbally and in writing
