Key Responsibilities

Testing and Analysis:

Quality Control:

· Conduct quality control tests to ensure products and raw materials meet safety and quality standards.

Method Development:

· Develop and improve analytical methods, processes, and formulas for new products or enhanced efficiency.

Documentation:

· Prepare technical reports and documents detailing experiments, methods, and findings.

Equipment Maintenance:

· Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure proper functioning.

Regulatory Compliance:

· Adhere to strict regulations, such as pharmaceutical cGMP, and ensure compliance with local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Required Skills & Knowledge

Analytical Techniques:

· Proficiency in techniques like chromatography, spectrophotometry, and spectroscopy to analyze chemical compounds.

Problem-Solving:

· Ability to troubleshoot issues with equipment, product phenomena, and test methods.

Technical Writing:

· Skill in writing clear, concise technical reports.

Laboratory Practices:

· Strong understanding of laboratory procedures, good documentation practices, and a safe laboratory environment.

Educational & Professional Requirements

Education: A Bachelor of Science in Chemistry is the fundamental requirement.

Licensure: Duly licensed by law to practice chemistry, especially in regulated industries, is often required.

Professional Exposure: Experience in a professional chemistry setting, such as internships or on-the-job training, provides practical experience.
