QLD Conveyancing Assistant

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Opening a new file in the system (e.g., Leap or Pexa).

• Inputting all relevant data from the contract into the system.

• Using precedence or predefined templates to generate the initial letters (e.g., confirmation letters, instructions to the client, etc.).

• Setting up reminders in the system or using a diary/calendar tool.

• Ensuring that the team is aware of any key dates to ensure smooth progression.

• Keeping an eye on deadlines daily to avoid any potential delays.

• Documents are prepared and checked for errors.

• Any documents with potential errors are flagged and corrected.

• The assistant will communicate with clients (if necessary) to gather information, update on the progress, or clarify details about the contract.

• Letters generated using the system (like Leap) should be reviewed to ensure they contain the correct details before sending.

• Properly filed in the correct location in the system (e.g., Leap, Actionstep, Smokeball).

• Accessible by the team and ready for review at any point.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Experienced in QLD conveyancing.

• Experienced in drafting and preparing accurate conveyancing documents.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to correct errors.

• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.

• Familiar with legal software such as Leap, Actionstep, or Smokeball
