Job Description:

Our client is currently looking for an Accountant to manage various financial tasks and who will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, assisting in tax planning, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations while preparing financial reports.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data for reporting purposes.
- Prepare and file income tax returns, BAS, and IAS in a timely and accurate manner.
- Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with team members to address complex tax-related issues.
- Engage in management accounting projects on a monthly or quarterly basis.
- Prepare management packs, conduct business performance calculations, and develop cash flow forecasts.
- Manage the month-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Review and analyze financial results, identifying variances and trends.
- Prepare necessary journal entries and reconciliations for month-end closing.
- Assist in tax planning tasks, collaborating with other team members as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or another related field.
- Minimum of 1+ years of Australian accounting experience, particularly financial statements and income tax returns.
- Experience in Xero Practice Manager, Xero Tax, Xero Financial Reports ideal, but not essential.
- Must have strong English communication skills, excellent work ethic and can work as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to details skills
- Track record of excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize completing tasks.
