Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary:

To assist the Warehouse Manager in the planning and coordination of warehouse activities such as receiving, dispatching and transferring of items and supervision and training of assigned workers and provide a variety of staff assistance to the whole department.

Scope and Responsibilities:

1.    Monitoring warehouse operations (i.e., Dispatching, Receiving Importation).

2.    Prepare the work schedule for the shifting schedule and supervise

a.    Agency workers

b.    Forklift Operators

c.     Inventory Specialist

3.    Counter checks the cutting of all items.

4.    Gives instructions to forklift operators in their respective work assignments.

5.    Training performance evaluation, coaching and mentoring of checkers, inventory specialist, forklift operators and trainees.

6.    Assigns Inventory Specialist to other task intended for warehouse operation.

7.    In the absence of an Inventory Specialist and/or as needed:

a.    Dispatches outgoing trucks

b.    Receives importation

8.    Prepares personnel requisitions as per the warehouse plantilla.

9.    Countercheck the "patumpok" or prepared items.

10.  In the absence of Inventory Specialist, assist the customers/inspectors during product inspection.

11.  Endorse warehouse status to co-Asst. Warehouse Managers.

12.  Verifies and approves all attendance-related issues of Warehouse helpers, Forklift operators, Inventory Specialist and Job Order Clerk (i.e., overtime, under time, change shift, change breaks time, change rest day and leave of absence).

13.  Counter-checks completed Job Order work log.

14.  Assigns a warehouse helper to designated section or to any task needed.

15.  Checking the Warehouse Accomplishment Report from inventory specialist and warehouse checkers to see if they meet the set KPI targets.

16.  Ensures the implementation of safety Rules and Policies

17.  Approval of withdrawal Slips, Material Shipping Orders and bodega issue Slips on behalf of the Warehouse Manager, and verified the actual weight of item vs. theoretical.

18.  Conducts root-cause analysis and identifies and implements remedial and corrective actions for nonconformities raised related to warehouse operations, and prepares a NCR for nonconforming operations.

19.  Monitors the condition of warehouse facilities and reports to the Warehouse Manager.

20.  Supervises, reviews, and approves the execution of "ligpit" from importation involving sizing, re-bundling, color coding and stacking at any warehouse.

21.  Supervises warehouse housekeeping, checks stocks to see if the items are properly stacked, and provides resources to support the Inventory Specialist during warehouse keeping.

22.  Make recommendations to the Warehouse Manager for improvements to warehouse operations and identifying training needs of warehouse personnel.

23.  Issue an Incident Report and impose disciplinary action on warehouse personnel under his area of responsibilities when deemed necessary or in the event of a wrong dispatched/received.

24.  Should practice non-disclosure of confidential matters

25.  Checks and submits OMR for picklist by Warehouse loader/checker.

26.  Prepares warehouse efficiency weekly report of overtime

27.  Performs other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Education and Training Requirements:

· Graduate of any 4-year course

· Previous supervisory post for at least 5 years is an advantage
