Web Designer

Remote | Part-Time to Full-Time | Real Estate Industry

About the Role

We're looking for a talented, detail-oriented Web Designer & SEO Virtual Assistant to support the ongoing growth of our high-performing real estate team.

This role is ideal for someone who understands modern web design, SEO strategy, and conversion-focused digital marketing.

You will help us build, optimize, and maintain high-quality webpages that improve user experience, increase organic traffic, and strengthen our brand presence online.

Key Responsibilities

Web Design & Content Creation

• Build out new webpages on our website (landing pages, neighborhood guides, stat pages, service pages, agent profiles, property marketing pages, etc.).
• Design visually appealing layouts that align with our brand standards.
• Format copy, images, videos, charts, and interactive elements for polished, high-impact presentation.
• Update and improve existing pages for better UX, readability, and engagement.
• Ensure all pages are responsive, fast-loading, and mobile-friendly.

SEO Optimization

• Conduct keyword research for rankings related to real estate, local markets, community guides, and seller-focused topics.
• Optimize on-page SEO elements: title tags, meta descriptions, headers, alt-text, schema markup, internal links, and URL structures.
• Implement best practices to increase visibility on Google, Bing, ChatGPT search, and other AI-driven recommendation engines.
• Monitor site performance metrics and propose strategies to improve organic ranking and conversions.
• Optimize images for speed, alt-text, EXIF data, and geo-tagging where applicable.

Technical & Administrative Tasks

• Maintain SEO checklists and content calendars.
• Track page performance via Google Analytics, Search Console, and third-party SEO tools.
• Assist with uploading blog posts, market reports, and video content.
• Complete routine audits to identify broken links, duplicate content, or performance issues.
• Collaborate with our marketing team and follow brand voice/style guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in WordPress, Wix, or similar CMS platforms (specify if you want WordPress-only).
• Solid understanding of on-page SEO, technical SEO, and keyword research.
• Strong eye for design and layout with proficiency in basic graphic design tools (Canva, Figma, Adobe XD, etc.).
• Ability to structure pages for storytelling, clarity, and high conversion.
• Comfortable following existing templates or creating new ones.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Able to work independently, manage tasks, troubleshoot, and meet deadlines.

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience with real estate websites, IDX integration, property marketing, or neighborhood content.
• Familiarity with AI content tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, Sora, etc.).
• Understanding of schema markup for real estate services.
• Knowledge of SEO competitiveness in the Silicon Valley/Bay Area market.

• Based on experience (hourly or task-based).
