The Safety Officer 3 will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and ensuring compliance with occupational safety and health standards at the project site. The SO3 will coordinate with project management, site personnel, and contractors to maintain a safe and hazard-free workplace in compliance with DOLE–OSH standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with DOLE requirements.
  • Conduct regular site safety inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identification.
  • Ensure compliance with the Construction Safety and Health Program (CSHP).
  • Lead and facilitate toolbox meetings, orientations, and safety trainings.
  • Investigate and document accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with DOLE and other regulatory agencies for safety compliance and audits.
  • Prepare and submit safety reports (weekly, monthly, and as required).
  • Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce site safety rules.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response plans.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a DOLE-accredited Safety Officer 3 (SO3).
  • With valid 40-hr BOSH Training (Construction Industry) and other mandatory safety training required by DOLE.
  • At least 2–3 years of relevant experience as a Safety Officer in construction projects.
  • Knowledgeable in DOLE–OSH standards, risk assessment, and accident investigation.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and reporting skills.
  • Physically fit and willing to be assigned at project sites in Davao.
