Optimo International Group Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented
Junior Accountant
to manage day-to-day accounting operations and support financial reporting. This role ensures that transactions are accurately recorded, reconciled, and well-documented, while working closely with the Senior Accountant/Finance Lead, who will oversee financial analysis, compliance, and advisory functions.

Junior Accountant
to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting

  • Record daily transactions including sales, receipts, disbursements, and journals (prepaids, accruals).
  • Maintain accurate ledgers across GL, AR, and AP.
  • Manage AR: invoices, collections, OR issuance, AR Aging, and follow-ups.
  • Manage AP: bill entry, 3-way matching (PO/GRN/Invoice), payment preparation, and monitoring.
  • Perform daily reconciliations (banks, e-wallets, credit cards), resolving variances promptly.
  • Handle petty cash, reimbursements, and ensure policy-compliant documentation.
  • Update fixed asset registers, depreciation schedules, and inventory movements.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and filing systems.
  • Prepare daily cash position, AR/AP summaries, and expense trackers.
  • Draft compliance schedules (VAT, EWT/FWT, remittance files) for review.
  • Support payroll validation and journal posting.

Weekly/Monthly Accounting

  • Complete reconciliations across bank, e-wallet, credit card, and intercompany accounts.
  • Compile month-end schedules (AR, AP, prepaids, accruals, FA, inventory).
  • Assist CFO during financial close: recurring journals, subledger tie-outs, trial balance checks.
  • Prepare supporting documentation for auditors and tax advisors.
  • Contribute to process improvements through templates, checklists, and automation.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Active Philippine CPA (PRC License).
  • Minimum of 5 years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience.
  • Strong knowledge of PH bookkeeping and taxation practices (VAT/EWT/FWT).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets (lookups, pivots).
  • Experience with accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Netsuite, SAP B1, or equivalent).
  • Proven ability to work accurately in high-volume environments.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong values of honesty, integrity, and accountability.

Success Indicators (First 60–90 Days)

  • 100% of daily postings completed with no unmatched bank items older than 3 days.
  • Accurate reconciliations and clear AR/AP aging reports.
  • Month-end schedules delivered by WD+3 to WD+5.
  • Compliance calendar maintained with timely draft tax schedules.

Work Setup & Hours

  • Location:
    Ortigas, Pasig – Full-Time Onsite
  • Schedule:
    Standard Philippine business hours (with flexibility during close and audit periods).
