Role location~ Hybrid (three days in-office, two days virtual)Job SummaryDevelop core versions of software applications for sale to external clients. Identifies client purchasing requirements and technical specifications through Product Management and/or client representatives. Interacts with engineering groups to assist in design changes to equipment and/or software.

Will Be DoingExpertise in FIS Products and Services~Deep understanding of products and services within assigned business lines

Industry Knowledge~Comprehensive knowledge of the financial services industry

Systems Development Life Cycles~Proficiency in various software development methodologies, including waterfall, iterative, and modern approaches

Software Industry Standards~Familiarity with relevant standards such as ISO, CMM, and Six SigmaBanking Practices~Knowledge of banking regulations and operations within assigned business lines

Design Patterns~In-depth understanding and application of design patterns

Technical Documentation~Ability to develop and interpret sequence diagrams, class models, etc

Solutions Design~Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition using model-driven design tools and techniques, including conceptual solution component models, business process models, and use cases

Communication Skills~Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences at various organizational levels

Analytical Skills~Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team, and time management skills

Influence and Persuasion~Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take

Project Management~Ability to estimate work effort for project sub-plans or small projects and ensure successful completion

What You BringExperience~5 to 8 years of solid experience in Mainframe DevelopmentSystematics~Experience in Systematics is required

Technical Skills~Strong knowledge in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, Syncsort, EasytrieveIndividual Contributor~Willingness to work as an individual contributor

Programming and Analytical Skills~Strong programming and analytical skills

Communication and Problem-Solving~Good communication and problem-solving skills

Additional Experience~Experience in CAS/TAX/FG/FT/IT/OW/FMS/GL is a plus
