Occupational Health Nurse – Corporate Clinic provides medical care and support to International SOS' clients at corporate
clinics and as such directly assists the Medical and Operations teams in delivering contracted healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing primary outpatient care, basic emergency medical care on the site to stabilize the patient, limited
- diagnostic testing, and assist in patient transfer by ambulance to designated medical facility
- Administer first aid and treat minor illnesses
- Provide nursing consultations and determine which cases need further consultation with the site Physician
- Conduct hygiene inspections, infection control audits at a pre-determined frequency
- Ensure consultation rooms and ER/treatment rooms are in appropriate condition
- Check all emergency equipment and ensure that they are in working condition
- Check all drugs and disposables inventory and ensure that none of these are beyond the expiry dates
- Documentation of all medical cases and ensure correct and proper storage of medical records
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Medical Director and Operations Manager.
Duties and Services:
Patient Related:
- Provide routine medical consultations as well as emergency care as independent doctor
- Provide primary care treatment for minor illnesses and injuries
- Facilitate Health Check examinations for eligible employees, as required
- Provide basic Diagnostic testing as required
- Dispense medication as directed by site Physician
- Organization of any referral specialist consultation as directed by site Physician
Staff Communication, Support & Training:
- Maintain a professional and supportive attitude towards all site staff.
- Maintain effective communication processes with all site staff.
- Train and mentor new staff on services and processes to be followed at the clinic
- Foster a positive attitude amongst staff and teams
Reporting:
- Maintaining the accuracy and deadlines for completion of all required reports and data.
- Maintain records and reports for all allocated responsibilities to ensure accountability and availability of information.
Inventory Maintenance & Control:
- Ensure accuracy of site inventories is maintained in all areas
- Development and maintenance of standard site inventories with agreed processes for justification of ordering
- medications and disposables outside of standard inventory
- Maintain assets on site, both client and Intl.SOS, ensure that asset register is being maintained and duly updated.
- Ensure proper reporting of equipment movement beyond the applicable serviceability as mentioned in the
- manufacturer's booklet.
- Ensure calibration of equipment with help from Operations team.
Documentation / Communication:
- Attend, contribute to and report medical services activity at Operations meetings
- Ensure that all other documentation to support activities is maintained as required by inventory, stock, accounting or
- administration needs.
- Ensure that all procedures, policies and company information are maintained to the latest date issued in accordance
with the Continuous Quality Improvement policy.
- Ensure that the patient satisfaction survey is implemented
- Provide any other tasks or responsibilities that may from time to time be requested by Operations Manager - Medical Services.
Occupational Health & Safety:
- Participate in the development and maintenance of a safe and healthy workplace.
- Undertake all mandatory OH&S training as required.
- Comply with any reasonable instructions, policies, procedures or safe work practices given by Intl.SOS in adhering to
- safe work procedures.
- Co-operate with management in its fulfilment of its legislative obligations.
- Take reasonable care to ensure their own health and safety and the safety of others.
- To report any injury, hazard or illness as soon as possible to their supervisor.
General:
- Ensure that medical facilities are maintained to an operational standard of professional excellence.
- Maintain awareness of, and comply with operating and internal procedures.
- Attend weekly and/or monthly meetings of medical and administration staff as directed by the Operations Manager -
- Medical Services to report on and discuss issues relating to the operation and improvement of services and activities.
- Ensuring all timesheet and payroll requirements are completed each pay period.
Other Duties:
- To ensure compliance to the Medical Services Standards of practice and provider management.
- Attend weekly and/or daily meetings of Medical Services and administration staff as directed by the Manager to report
- on and discuss issues relating to the operation and improvement of services and activities.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the line manager.
- To work within and promote all Intl.SOS's policies and procedures.
Job Profile:
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- The position requires a steady, patient and detailed person; one who is pleasant and can ensure detailed follow-up actions when required.
- Good spoken and written English and local language communication skills, with the ability to communicate ideas with clarity and impact on audience, both in oral and written.
- Good computer software skills, specifically - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet usage.
- Knowledge of the specific functions of support departments.
- Excellent teamwork and the development of relationships that promote a high level of trust and integrity within the team and towards other departments.
- Generating of enthusiasm within the team and with sites.
- A thorough and professional working knowledge of the site/s and staff working on the site/s and their roster requirements.
- Understanding of the specific functions of the Medical Services departments.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Valid Registration with the Philippine Regulations Commission
