Job Description:

The role is in-charge of preparation of financial statements and other supporting schedules and reports. He or she is tasks to assist the Accounting Manager in the General Accounting Unit. The position is tasks for the maintenance and update of the Chart of Accounts, period closing activities, review of posted journal entries – transactional entries, accruals and deferrals, and adjusting journal entries. He or she is responsible for the overall accuracy of accounting ledgers – general and subsidiary, interpretation of accounting principles, and ensure that accounting standards are implemented accordingly.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Accounting Manager in the attainment of the Accounting Department's goals and objectives.
  2. In-charge in the maintenance of Accounting master data.
  3. Review all posted journal entries and ensure that all financial transactions are provided with journal entries.
  4. Prepare schedules of prepayments, accruals, deferrals, intercompany transactions, and elimination entries and ensure that all adjusting and period closing entries are posted.
  5. Ensure that subsidiary ledgers and general ledgers tally, investigate, and reconcile noted discrepancies.
  6. Prepares the draft of the Trial Balance and adjusting journal entries.
  7. Preparation of interim and annual financial reports – Profit or Loss, Financial Position, Cash Flow Statements, Statement of Cost of Sales, Statement of Changes in Equity, and other supplementary reports and statements.
  8. Lead period closing activities – month-end and year-end closing.
  9. Prepare variance analysis and other reports needed/requested by Management.
  10. Coordinate with external compliance and ensure that Books of Accounts are religiously updated.
  11. Provides clear interpretation of accounting policies in accordance with the PAS/PFRS, Internal Revenue Code, industry regulations, and other relevant laws and regulation affecting financial recording.
  12. Ensure data and information in the Accounting System is updated and accurate.
  13. In-charge in the maintenance of Accounting master data.
  14. Preparation summaries and schedules necessary for the proper understanding of the transactions.
  15. Coordinate with other departments, business units, and projects for any concerns or issues in the processing of request and payables.
  16. Assist the Finance Department in ad hoc activities such as audit and review and other tasks that maybe assigned by Management.

Job Qualifications:

  1. Graduate of Accountancy
  2. Certified Public Accountant is preferred, with at least three (3) years of relevant experience. (Fresh Graduates are also welcome to apply)
  3. Graduate of other accounting related courses such as Accounting Technician, Accounting Technology, Internal Auditing with relevant working experience with at three (3) years in general accounting can be considered.
  4. Knowledgeable and experience in general accounting – PFRS/PAS, bookkeeping, taxation, and financial statement preparation.
  5. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint and experience in accounting systems.
  6. With good communication skills both is oral and written.
  7. Willing to be assigned at Cainta, Rizal
