Android Developer (Java/Kotlin/Flutter)

About the Role

We're looking for an Android Developer skilled primarily in Java and Kotlin to build scalable, user‑focused mobile applications. While our main stack is native Android, having some Flutter exposure is considered a plus—mainly for collaborative or future cross-platform initiatives.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain high‑quality Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
  • Work with Android Jetpack components (ViewModel, LiveData/StateFlow, Room, Navigation, WorkManager).
  • Implement clean architectures such as MVVM or Clean Architecture.
  • Integrate REST APIs using Retrofit, OkHttp, and handle data caching, error handling, and offline support.
  • Ensure app reliability with unit tests and UI tests (JUnit, Mockito, Espresso).
  • Optimize app performance using Android Studio Profilers and ADB debugging tools.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure adherence to Material Design and accessibility standards.
  • Publish and manage app releases through Google Play Console.
  • (Optional) Contribute to small components or integrations in Flutter, if needed.

Required Qualifications
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin and Java for Android development.
  • Solid understanding of the Android SDK, Android Studio, and Gradle.
  • Experience with Jetpack libraries and modern app development practices.
  • Knowledge of Kotlin Coroutines/Flows or RxJava.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and networking libraries.
  • Proficiency with Git workflows.
  • Experience with local databases (e.g., Room, SQLite).
  • Strong debugging, optimization, and problem‑solving skills.

Nice-To-Have (Not Required)

Flutter should feel optional here.

  • Basic to intermediate experience in Flutter/Dart, mainly for Android‑related cross‑platform tasks.
  • Familiarity with Jetpack Compose.
  • Dependency injection using Hilt or Dagger.
  • CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Bitrise, CircleCI, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience with Crashlytics, Remote Config, In‑App Updates, or FCM.
  • Knowledge of mobile security practices (ProGuard/R8, secure storage).
  • Exposure to GraphQL or feature‑flag frameworks.
