PRE-DELIVERY INSPECTOR (FLATBED/TRAILER TRUCK DRIVER)

JOB DESCRIPTION: To assist and ensure proper checking of new units and safe pull-outs of vehicles. To properly perform assigned building maintenance work from time to time.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receives new vehicle units from shipment and conducts inspection using approved checklist.
  • Performs pre-delivery inspection/stencil of all units from the dealer principal.
  • Prepares and submits signed forms to the business manager or sales admin.
  • Submits vehicle transit damage or discrepancy report (if any) immediately or within the first 4 working hours to the business manager.
  • Coordinates with after-sales if repairs/rectification are required at any given time upon approval of the business manager.
  • Secure tools, manuals, spare keys, floor mats, etc. assigned to respective units, and hand them over to Sales Admin with proper markings.
  • Performs inventory physical count with finance personnel, participates in the reconciliation, and records discrepancies, including the condition of the vehicle unit.
  • Conducts Pre-Delivery Inspection using the PDI checklist and affixes the signature for documentation purposes to ensure that the vehicle is in good working condition, including but not limited to the following: electrical system, under chassis, visual check, and others.
  • Render over time as the need arises. Handles tasks assigned by the immediate head from time to time.
  • Clean the area
  • Check brand new units, stencil
  • Install accessories budding
  • Release units
  • Pull out and detail units
  • Conduct an inventory of units and PDI tools
  • Submit PDI reports
  • Other tasks as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate must have the following basic qualifications:

  • The candidate must possess at least a bachelor's/college degree.
  • With 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Valid Driver's License Levels 1-3 or Class 3/Code 8 or CE/B2 or C
  • Exposure to the Automotive Service Industry is a big advantage
  • Flexible and willing to travel to different routes and beyond normal working hours or can work Overtime
