The Testing & Commissioning Engineer is responsible for ensuring that solar power systems and related equipment are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with design specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements. This role involves conducting functional and performance tests, troubleshooting issues, and validating system performance before project handover. The engineer will also prepare documentation, coordinate with project teams, and ensure compliance with renewable energy regulations and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, perform, and document testing and commissioning activities for solar power systems.

  • Verify electrical, mechanical, and control system installations meet design and safety standards.

  • Conduct functional and performance tests on solar PV systems, inverters, transformers, and related equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues identified during testing.

  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and equipment suppliers to ensure smooth commissioning.

  • Prepare and maintain commissioning reports, test records, and compliance documents.

  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations during all activities.

  • Support handover of commissioned systems to operations and maintenance teams.

  • Provide technical input for system upgrades, improvements, and best practices.

  • Stay updated on industry standards, renewable energy technologies, and testing methodologies.
