Job Information

Job Description

A pumpman, particularly on tankers, is a key member of the deck department responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the cargo pumping systems. They handle a variety of tasks, including operating and maintaining pumps, valves, and pipelines, monitoring cargo levels and pressures, and conducting regular inspections of the cargo system. Pumpman also play a crucial role in safety, ensuring adherence to protocols and participating in emergency drills.
