The Market Researcher plays a vital role within the organization by collecting data and conducting analysis to offer valuable insights for strategic decision-making related to CEM's products and services. In this position, the primary responsibilities include carrying out research activities, interpreting the gathered information, and effectively communicating recommendations to assist in devising marketing strategies and enhancing product development in the field of CEM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather data on consumers, competitors and other market trends to understand market positioning in pricing, sales and other metrics
  • Observe and predict current and future marketing and sales trends using data
  • Compile consumer data using a variety of methods including surveys, questionnaires, interviews, focus groups, opinion polls and more
  • Apply statistical techniques to interpret data and produce substantiated recommendations.
  • Prepare reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into written text and presenting results
  • Maintain and regularly update all sales volume acquisition and marketing database, to ensure data accuracy and integrity. This includes tracking and updating membership profiles
  • Prepare and analyze internal sales reports, including comparison reports of test volume availed by CEM partners (previous vs. current) and summaries of the company's sales figures.
  • Track and report on key membership data, including members' test subscription history and annual dues, to support stakeholder inquiries and strategic planning.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for database management, data extraction, transformation, manipulation as required; intermediate reporting skills, including the ability to generate reports and create dashboards, potentially using tools like Crystal Reports.
  • Competencies: Research and Statistics, Business Acumen, Data Analysis
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 3 progressive years in business analytics or other analytical areas
  • Years of Experience: 2 years in market research roles.
  • Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, Statistics or related field.
  • Certifications: Marketing certifications (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot) preferred.
