Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Accounting Associate based in Pasig. The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and timely financial record-keeping for Unicon Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers Corporation. Reporting to the Controller and Chief Finance Officer, the Accounting Supervisor will lead the accounting team in maintaining financial integrity, managing audits, and supporting the company's financial strategy through efficient accounting practices.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensures timely and accurate government filings and payments, stays updated on regulations, and maintains compliance through proper reporting.
  • Summarizes and reviews financial statements, analyzes performance variances, and prepares regular reports to support leadership decision-making.
  • Manages the general ledger, performs account reconciliations and adjustments, and ensures timely month-end and year-end closing.
  • Supports budget creation and monitoring, tracks expenses for cost efficiency, and provides data for forecasting and planning.
  • Leads and mentors the accounting team in the Controllership group, manages performance and training needs, and promotes collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • A graduate of any 4-year course but with preference Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

  • Proficiency with accounting software (SAP) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory standards in the insurance or financial services industry

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php30, Php50,000.00 per month
