Java Technical Lead

We're searching for a Java Technical Lead who can lead end-to-end development, enforce engineering standards, and drive high-quality, scalable solutions using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and modern cloud technologies.

This is a full on-site, dayshift role based in Ortigas.


What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

Technical Leadership & Delivery

• Lead design, development, and implementation of complex backend systems using Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.

• Drive technical decisions, solution design, and overall code quality across the development team.

• Oversee end-to-end SDLC—from requirements analysis to design, development, testing, deployment, and optimization.

• Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure clean, maintainable, and high-performance code.

• Troubleshoot critical production issues and guide teams toward effective resolutions.

• Ensure all solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, and regulatory standards.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers; build a culture of technical excellence.

• Partner closely with Product Owners, Solutions Architects, and QA teams to ensure aligned and efficient delivery.

• Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies in collaboration with the Scrum Master.

Architecture & Innovation

• Contribute to architectural design—API design, integration patterns, scalability, cloud readiness, and system performance.

• Evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and tools that can enhance development efficiency and system reliability.

• Recommend improvements in system architecture, performance tuning, and automation.

Quality, Governance & Best Practices

• Implement engineering best practices, CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, and automated testing strategies.

• Support DevOps processes, containerization, and deployment workflows (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS).

• Mitigate technical risks, identify dependencies, and ensure robust system stability.


Qualifications

• 7–10+ years software development experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior or lead Java engineering role.

• Strong expertise in Java 8+, Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise-level development.

• Solid experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL), caching, and distributed systems.

• Experience with CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).

• Proven ability to lead technical teams, drive design decisions, and deliver high-quality enterprise applications.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Immediate availability preferred; within 30 days is acceptable.
