Your Role
We are seeking someone who can do timely and accurate investigation, assessment, and processing of customer credits related to billing issues, service disputes, and account adjustments. This role plays a key part in ensuring credits are issued appropriately, in accordance with internal policy and

customer service standards.

As a Claims Officer, You Will

• Investigate and resolve customer credit claims in a thorough and efficient manner.
• Ensure investigation and approval is aligned to business process
• Approve credits and account adjustments in Pronto ERP system
• Engage with internal stakeholders (e.g. Branches, Customer Service, Accounts Receivables) to verify data and complete investigations.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all investigations, findings, and outcomes in line with audit and compliance requirements
• Prepare documentation and reporting to support internal reviews, audits, and compliance checks
• Monitor claim trends and escalate systemic issues to management for resolution or improvement initiatives
• Support the Claims Team Leader with team goals, projects, and process enhancements as required

What You Need:

• Prior experience in a credit, claims, or billing-related role, preferably within a utilities environment
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with sound judgement and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in using billing and ERP platforms (e.g. SAP, Oracle,)
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain decisions clearly and professionally
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Intermediate Excel Proficiency (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data analysis)

Preferred skills/expertise

• Analytical & Investigative Skills: For thorough claim resolution.
• ERP/Platform Proficiency: To process adjustments in the Pronto system.
• Accuracy & Attention to Detail: For compliance and record-keeping.
• Intermediate Excel Skills: For data analysis and reporting (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
• Strong Communication: For clear stakeholder engagement and explaining decisions.
