Head of Brand Production Studio, Brand Marketing

We're a tight-knit, collaborative group on a mission to make Thumbtack famous. The Thumbtack brand marketing team exists to reimagine brand building, using modern marketing tools to drive preference and brand recognition. We are tasked with creating a category-defining, differentiated brand and bringing it to life consistently across multiple media touchpoints to drive brand recognition and commercial success.
About the roleThe Head of Brand Production Studio will act as a key lever for scaling Creative Production across the entire Thumbtack organization. You will be responsible for proposing and implementing strong processes and tooling to organize a wide range of brand team workstreams and ensure a standardized and strategic operational model.
The ideal candidate is hungry to build teams from ground zero and implement systems that allow creativity to thrive, and upholds an exceptionally high bar for craft while meeting the high volume and variable demands across the company. They are uniquely activated by the art of solving complex challenges that balance ruthless pragmatism with ingenuity and innovation. They understand the major impact that efficient practices have on delivering excellent work that drives our brand forward.
This role will report to the Head of Production.
What you'll do- Manage a team of production designers, video editors and project managers who will collaborate closely with the US based team(s).
 - Lead teamwide operational excellence and hygienic practices through efficient use of resources, tooling, and brand team processes.
 - Drive the vision, procurement, and implementation of key creative tooling and systems management. Continuously monitoring industry trends, tools, and technologies to foster innovation and efficiency.
 - Own teamwide project intake, trafficking and resource management / allocation.
 - Organize regular reporting on brand team project statuses and qualitative data to inform long term strategic decision making.
 - Identify gaps and support the visioning of key team processes and operations, ultimately evangelizing those standards across the company to drive adoption and consistency.
 - Draft and manage project plans and expectations, ensuring error-free, on-brief, on-time, legally compliant, and on-budget results.
 - Collaborate with the Creative, Production and Brand Management teams to effectively resource creative needs, properly scope projects and create workback schedules.
 
- Operational expert; 3-5 years of experience in production, project management, resource management and/or operations at a production company, creative agency or in-house creative department.
 - People management; 3-5 years experience in building teams and thoughtful career development for direct reports in various creative field(s).
 - Process-first mindset; Proven ability to simplify complex systems, streamline workflows, reduce handoffs, and eliminate inefficiencies, with a strong inclination towards implementing radical change. Systems thinker with the ability to proactively identify and solve for gaps in processes, and appetite for adapting to an always changing competitive landscape.
 - Vision for AI and automation; Experience with AI- or automation-enhanced operations and a clear understanding of their revolutionary potential and impact.
 - Unwavering meticulousness; Innate attention to detail, highly organized and has excellent time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple work streams at once.
 - Choose teamwork mentality; Able to establish and maintain relationships with cross-functional partners across the organization and effectively represent the Brand Marketing team. Excellent communication skills and collaboration-first spirit
 - Project management; Confident working within and owning key project management tools (Asana or other comparable tools, G-Suite, etc) and familiar with creative related tools/software of the trade (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Figma or Sketch, etc)
 - Digital Asset Management organization experience.
 - Demonstrated success in fostering a collaborative creative culture in a remote setting.
