Job description

The Body & Paint Technician caters to Body & Painting Repair requirements, and is responsible for successful and efficient completion of the repair or service required in the customers' units as indicated in the Repair Orders. He also carries out a range of tests to diagnose service and repair vehicles and work hand in hand with the Job Controller and Service Advisors.

EDUCATION

  • Graduate of 2 or 3 year automotive course;
  • Can be a Toyota Motor Philippines graduate;
  • Can be a Provincial University Automotive course graduate

SKILLS/TRAINING

  • Computer Literate

EXPERIENCE

  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assessing and inspecting damaged vehicle bodies to understand the extent of repairs needed.
  • Planning and organizing repair processes, including ordering necessary parts and materials.
  • Removing damaged parts and panels from vehicles, ensuring careful handling and storage.
  • Repairing damaged body frames and structures through welding, shaping, and straightening.
  • Removing dents, scratches, and imperfections from vehicle bodies using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Preparing surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and masking.
  • Mixing and matching paint colors to ensure a seamless finish.
  • Applying primer, basecoat, and clearcoat to vehicle bodies in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Conducting quality checks and inspections to ensure repairs meet industry standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintaining an organized and clean workspace, following safety protocols at all times.
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and repair techniques to enhance skills and knowledge.
