Job Title: IT Support Technician (Part-Time)

Work Setup: Remote / Part-Time

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 10:00 AM ET

About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented IT Support Technician to provide daily technical support, handle user account management, and keep systems secure and up to date. This role covers frontline troubleshooting, onboarding/offboarding tasks, and proactive monitoring of critical IT tools. You'll play a key part in making sure our employees stay connected, secure, and productive.

Key Responsibilities

• Pager Duty support during assigned hours (M–F, 5AM–10AM ET)

• Monitor and respond to email phishing alerts and manage Checkpoint security controls

• Manage FreshService tickets: revise, assign, escalate, and close tickets as needed

• Document all support requests accurately

User Onboarding

• Create accounts in Active Directory (AD)

• Set up DUO access, assign DUO tokens, and configure group memberships

• Assign program access based on job function (Bus Planner Web, AccountMate, DocuShare)

• Build and configure workspaces

User Offboarding

• Disable and delete accounts

• Remove from AD groups

• Set up email forwarding

• Archive PST/OneDrive data

System Maintenance

• Monitor Windows Update status from the AD controller server

• Push failed updates and schedule device restarts during off-hours

Authentication and Access Support

• Manage DUO lockouts by unlocking users after failed login attempts

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an IT Support Technician or similar role

• Hands-on experience with Active Directory (AD), DUO, and Windows Server environments

• Familiarity with FreshService or other ticketing systems

• Knowledge of security practices (phishing response, MFA tools, Checkpoint)

• Experience with user onboarding and offboarding

• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with Bus Planner Web, AccountMate, or DocuShare

• Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash) for automation

• Previous remote IT support experience
