Universal Robina Corporation Sugar and Renewables - Balayan is looking for a Quality Assurance Shift Supervisor.

What are the Roles and Responsibilities?

The Quality Assurance Shift Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of product quality and safety within our sugar manufacturing plant. Responsible for overseeing QA activities during their shift, this role ensures adherence to quality protocols, regulatory standards, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Quality Assurance Management:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily QA operations to ensure optimal performance and compliance with quality standards.

  • Monitor and analyze quality data, implement corrective actions as needed to maintain product quality and compliance.

  • Develop and implement QA procedures, protocols, and best practices to enhance product quality and safety.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and problem-solving exercises to address complex QA-related challenges and improve operational efficiency.

• Compliance and Standards Adherence:

  • Ensure strict adherence to quality protocols and regulatory standards in all QA operations and activities.

  • Conduct regular quality inspections and audits, identify potential issues, and implement corrective measures to mitigate risks.

  • Stay abreast of industry regulations, codes, and standards applicable to QA operations, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and legal requirements.

• Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of QA technicians and personnel, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.

  • Provide training, guidance, and support to team members to enhance skills, knowledge, and performance.

• Analytical and Problem-Solving Initiatives:

  • Utilize advanced analytical tools and methodologies to interpret quality data, identify trends, and implement optimization strategies.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and problem-solving exercises to address complex QA-related challenges and improve operational efficiency.

• Communication and Collaboration:

  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, management, and external stakeholders to coordinate activities, address quality issues, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and other departments to support QA-related projects and initiatives.

What are the Qualifications?

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.

• Should be licensed.

• Proven experience in quality assurance within industrial or manufacturing environments, preferably in the food or beverage industry.

Technical Proficiency:

• Comprehensive understanding of QA systems, encompassing design, operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting QA-related issues and implementing corrective measures to maintain product quality and compliance.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Thorough knowledge of QA regulations, codes, and standards, ensuring adherence to safety, environmental, and legal requirements.

• Experience in facilitating inspections, audits, and regulatory certifications for QA systems.

Leadership and Management Skills:

• Strong leadership abilities to effectively supervise and mentor a team of QA technicians and personnel.

• Proven track record of fostering a safety-conscious work culture and promoting continuous improvement initiatives.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities:

• Advanced analytical skills to interpret quality data, identify trends, and implement optimization strategies.

• Proficiency in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies to address complex QA-related challenges.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams, management, and external stakeholders.

• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills to address operational challenges and stakeholder concerns.

• Demonstrated commitment to driving continuous improvement initiatives in QA operations, practices, and efficiency enhancements.
