OVERALL OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE:
The primary function of a Sales Executive is to generate revenue from existing customer portfolio and/or through new leads. The role involves interaction and management with merchants at the head office and branch/outlet levels. Internally, it also includes coordination with various units supporting the card payment processing/merchant acquiring business.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Tertiary educated preferred. Graduate from Business, Management or Engineering discipline will be an asset
- Minimum 1 year to 2 years of sales experience in the financial services or fast moving consumer goods industry with proven results
- Sales experience in credit card business is a plus
- Able to plan, organize and make effective sales presentations
- Ability to conduct training for external customers, including partners
- Excellent organization, communication, negotiation and problem solving skills when dealing with external customers
- Good English and Filipino communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications especially Excel
- Entrepreneurial character, self-starter, capable of developing & executing an effective sales strategy
- Self-motivated & adaptable to changing conditions in the work place
- Mature and independent, able to work well with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to establish workload priorities
- High achiever - able to develop local market for Global products
- Only candidates with permanent residence in Philippines will be considered
- Residing in Cagayan de Oro and willing to travel if deemed needed
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To drive sales activities from accounts with the end result favoring Global Payments. Cross selling of products is also included here, with the end result of improving revenue.
- To sign up additional branches from existing accounts or new entities related to or owned by merchant with existing business relationship with Global Payments
- To conduct effective negotiations with customers – merchants for competitive and sustainable pricing/terms for the business
- To ensure all account opening requirements and processes comply with the partner bank and GP joint venture's business and policy requirements
- To manage, build and develop merchant relationships at the head office and branch/outlet levels; overall portfolio management
- To minimize merchant attrition
- To help ensure operational efficiency and the proper delivery of services by vendors/security team, e.g., POS terminal installation & servicing, card acceptance training & fraud prevention
- To collaborate with management on new product development, sales support activities and new revenue opportunities
- To effectively forecast potential sales & revenue from new and existing markets and to identify the required marketing activities to achieve the sales & revenue forecast
- To develop one's knowledge of competitors' activities, industry standards, market trends, technology, systems, and other relevant information
