Responsibilities

  • Credit Analysis: Conduct thorough credit assessments on individuals and businesses applying for loans, reviewing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documents.
  • Risk Assessment: Evaluate credit risk and make recommendations regarding loan approvals, ensuring adherence to established credit policies and guidelines.
  • Financial Statement Analysis: Analyze financial statements, cash flows and other financial data to determine the financial health of loan applicants.
  • Documentation: Prepare and review loan documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate with loan applicants to gather additional information, clarify inquiries and discuss credit decisions.
  • Credit Policy Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor the performance of existing loan portfolios, identify potential risks, and prepare regular reports for management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including risk management, legal and finance to ensure comprehensive credit assessment and timely decision-making.
  • Customer-Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns related to credit applications in a professional and timely manner.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, industry best practices, and regulatory changes affecting the credit industry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Credit Officer or similar role in the financial industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, credit reports, and risk assessment techniques.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in using financial analysis software and MS Office Suite. and teamwork skills.
  • Effective communication skills to work well with product providers, clients, and team members.
  • The ideal candidate must be process-driven and task-oriented, ensuring all tasks are completed with efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • A structured approach to managing responsibilities is crucial for maintaining high standards and meeting deadline
