JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the efficient operation and proper maintenance of the clinic's imaging department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide exceptional patient care and customer service.
  • Ensures completeness of all needed imaging supplies
  • Correctly performs all imaging procedures including proper identification of patient
  • Perform procedure as ordered by attending physician
  • Logs the name of patient for 2D echo to the corresponding daily census log sheet.
  • Explains the procedure to the patient
  • Prepares the patient physically and psychologically
  • Performs complete echocardiographic examination
  • Does the aftercare to patient and assists on getting out of bed
  • Instructs patient regarding the availability of the results
  • Prepares the tape for interpretation of the Cardiologist
  • Encodes the official results to CMS.
  • Strictly adheres to radiation safety standard and regulation
  • Protects the patient from radiation hazard by using a proper protective measure
  • Makes sure that film badge is always wore during x-ray procedure and submits this badge regularly to the duly accredited regulating body for inspection
  • Strictly observes standard set on aseptic technique and universal precaution
  • Observes strictly the proper disposal of waste product, and makes sure that all infectious materials are disposed on the proper container
  • Actively participate in the management of patient by coordinating with attending physicians on significant finding
  • Secures consent for special test needed or as required by law
  • Attends regular staff meeting
  • Performs other related tasks assigned by the management
