Warehouse Assistant Manager

Purpose:

Ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant warehouse operations supporting retail distribution, replenishment, and inventory integrity. The role oversees end-to-end warehouse activities—including receiving, storage, tagging, barcoding, and dispatch—while ensuring alignment with company standards, service-level agreements, and operational KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.
  • Supervise inventory tagging, labeling, and barcoding processes to ensure accurate stock identification and traceability.
  • Oversee capacity planning, inbound/outbound logistics, and ensure timely replenishment to stores and other channels.
  • Ensure proper inventory control procedures, documentation accuracy, and compliance with audit and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with 3PL partners to ensure adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs), operational efficiency, and cost control.
  • Maintain warehouse layout optimization, stock rotation, and storage conditions for space and safety efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational visibility.
  • Enforce warehouse security, safety, and housekeeping standards in compliance with company policies and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with logistics, supply chain, and finance teams to support accurate inventory valuation and reporting.
  • Lead and develop warehouse staff to promote accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 4-7 years of experience in retail warehouse or distribution management, with hands-on experience in receiving, inventory tagging, barcoding, and documentation processes.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and coordination skills.
  • Familiarity with WMS platforms, inventory audit procedures, and 3PL management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on process improvement and operational excellence.
