Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Development and Experimentation

  • Conduct formulation trials and sensory evaluations for new and improved food products.
  • Assist in scaling up recipes from laboratory to pilot and production scale.
  • Document and Analyze experiment results, formulations, and process parameters.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth transfer of developed products to manufacturing.

2. Documentation and Record Management

  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive R&D documentation, including formulation sheets, trial reports, specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure all R&D files are updated, properly labelled, and archived in accordance with company standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary product information and formulations.

3. Regulatory and Compliance Handling

  • Prepare and process applications for regulatory licenses such as Certificate of Product Registration (CPR), License to Operate (LTO), and other government-required permits.
  • Coordinate with relevant government agencies (e.g., FDA, DTI, DA) for compliance and renewal of licenses.
  • Ensure all products and processes comply with food safety regulations and company quality standards.

4. Quality and Technical Support

  • Provide technical support to Production and Quality Assurance teams regarding formulation and process adjustments.
  • Assist in troubleshooting product or process issues as needed.
  • Participate in sensory evaluation panels and product quality assessments.

5. Research and Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated on new ingredients, technologies, and trends in the food industry.
  • Suggest and implement improvements in formulations, processes, or packaging to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  • Support sustainability and cost-reduction initiatives through product and process optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of BS Food Technology, Chemistry, or any related field.
  • Experience: Preferably with experience in food manufacturing or product development (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of food science, processing, and formulation principles.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and capable of preparing technical documentation and reports.
