The Occupational Nurse is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health, safety, and overall well-being of employees in the workplace. This role involves providing medical care, conducting health assessments, managing workplace injuries and illnesses, and implementing health and safety programs in compliance with company policies and government regulations. The Occupational Nurse works closely with management and safety officers to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide first aid, emergency care, and treatment for work-related and non-work-related illnesses and injuries.
- Conduct pre-employment, periodic, and return-to-work medical examinations.
- Monitor employees' health conditions through regular check-ups and health surveillance programs.
- Implement workplace health and wellness programs, including vaccination drives, health education, and disease prevention campaigns.
- Maintain and update medical records and ensure confidentiality of employee health information.
- Administer and monitor occupational safety and health programs in line with DOLE/OSHA standards.
- Assist in accident investigations and recommend corrective/preventive health measures.
- Provide counseling and guidance to employees regarding health concerns and lifestyle improvement.
- Coordinate with government health agencies and company healthcare providers.
- Ensure availability and maintenance of clinic supplies, medicines, and equipment.
- Registered Nurse (RN) with valid PRC license.
- Certification in Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) for Nurses is an advantage.
- Training in Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in occupational health, clinical, or hospital setting (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of labor and health regulations (DOLE, OSHA, DOH).
