Job Summary:
We are seeking a People Team Specialist to provide exceptional support to our growing team at Telostaff. This role is deeply people-focused, requiring a high level of emotional intelligence (EQ), empathy, and the ability to assess and respond to employees' needs. The ideal candidate will embody Telostaff's core values, maintain strong organizational processes, and help scale our people operations as we grow from 75 to 750 employees.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct initial check-ins (ICIs) with new Telostaffers via video, email, or chat, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles.
- Perform monthly check-ins (MCIs) with established employees, documenting insights and taking action on any necessary follow-ups.
- Build trust and rapport with employees throughout the employment cycle, increasing transparency and driving retention and belonging with all employees.
- Respond to escalations from clients regarding employees, addressing concerns with discretion and professionalism.
- Handle emergency requests from employees, including personal issues, time-off requests, hospitalizations, and other urgent matters with discernment and care.
- Evaluate benevolence fund requests and other employee needs, balancing empathy with company policies.
- Oversee HR documentation and compliance, including background forms, reference checks, and maintaining accurate employee records.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, coordinating swag, gifts, holiday programs, and in-person meetups.
- Assist in scaling people operations, identifying what processes should remain consistent and what needs to evolve as the company grows.
- Maintain organization within Notion and G Suite, ensuring smooth access to records and reducing operational chaos.
- Collaborate with the People Team to enhance overall employee experience and refine internal processes for long-term scalability.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong emotional intelligence (EQ) with the ability to read employee needs and provide appropriate support.
- Proven experience in HR, employee relations, or a people-focused role within a scaling organization.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively connect with employees and clients.
- Highly organized with the ability to track multiple moving pieces and maintain structured documentation.
- Ability to think strategically about scaling people operations from 75 to 750 employees while ensuring a consistent employee experience.
- Familiarity with HR compliance, including handling personal requests, leave management, and escalation procedures.
- Tech-savvy, with experience using Notion, G Suite, and other organizational tools.
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills to navigate dynamic and evolving work environments.
- Commitment to Telostaff's core values, demonstrating reliability, integrity, and a strong focus on people.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing a portfolio of employees, particularly in a remote or distributed workforce.
- Background in HR, talent management, or operations within a fast-growing company.
- Understanding of performance management frameworks and employee engagement strategies.
- Previous experience scaling HR processes and systems.
