Roles and Responsibilities

Compliance Auditing & Internal Controls

  • Conduct end-to-end compliance and internal control reviews across business functions.
  • Evaluate processes for compliance with regulatory, policy, and contractual requirements.
  • Identify control weaknesses, assess operational and compliance risks, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain audit checklists, risk registers, and control testing documentation.
  • Support the design and implementation of effective compliance monitoring frameworks.

Regulatory & Risk Oversight

  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on business operations.
  • Support the preparation of regulatory reports and audit responses.
  • Assist in developing compliance training materials and awareness programs.
  • Collaborate with management to track and report remediation progress on audit findings.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Collect and analyse operational and compliance performance data.
  • Identify patterns, emerging risks, and compliance trends through quantitative and qualitative assessment.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports summarising audit findings, risks, and recommendations.
  • Present findings to stakeholders and provide actionable insights for improvement.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with internal teams to promote a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with auditors, regulators, and external partners during compliance assessments.
  • Communicate findings clearly, both verbally and in writing, ensuring transparency and accuracy.

Project & Task Management

  • Manage assigned audit and compliance review projects independently.
  • Support global or ad hoc initiatives related to governance, risk, and compliance improvement.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of compliance methodologies, tools, and reporting processes.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • 1–2 years' experience in internal auditing, compliance monitoring, or risk management.
  • Background in an auditing firm or a regulated industry is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of compliance frameworks, control testing, and risk assessment principles.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Preferred but not essential:

  • Exposure to regulatory compliance (e.g., energy, financial services, or utilities sector).
  • Experience in conducting control effectiveness testing and preparing audit reports.
  • Familiarity with compliance management systems or audit tools.
