IT Infrastructure Manager

Responsibilities

· Oversee servers, networks, storage systems, and virtualization/cloud environments to ensure optimal performance and uptime.

· Enforce IT security best practices, conduct audits, and maintain compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., data privacy laws).

· Lead, mentor, and manage IT staff such as system administrators and technicians.

· Collaborate closely with academic departments, administration, and support teams to tailor infrastructure solutions that advance teaching and learning objectives.

· Plan, execute, and deliver IT infrastructure projects on time and budget.

· Continually monitor performance metrics, anticipate system demands, and optimize for scalability and efficiency.

· Maintain thorough documentation of configurations, policies, and procedures.

· Strong foundation in cybersecurity, backups, monitoring tools, and compliance controls.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred but not required

· At least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with leadership experience preferred

· Proven leadership, communication, project coordination, analytical thinking, and vendor negotiation abilities

· In-depth knowledge of server OS (Windows, Linux), virtualization (VMware/Hyper‑V/KVM), cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), networking (routing, switching, firewall, VPN)

· Infrastructure monitoring and backup tooling
