About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchaser to join our dynamic team at Giovanni Construction. As a Purchaser, you will play a crucial role in our operations, responsible for procuring materials, equipment, and services to support our construction projects in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte. What you'll be doing

  • Researching and evaluating suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable delivery of materials and equipment
  • Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best possible terms and conditions
  • Maintaining accurate records of all purchases, including budgets, invoices, and inventory levels
  • Collaborating with project managers and site supervisors to anticipate and meet the material and equipment needs of ongoing construction projects
  • Identifying opportunities to optimise procurement processes and drive cost savings for the company
  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies and industry regulations related to purchasing and procurement

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the construction industry
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting to track and optimise procurement performance
  • Familiar with inventory management and supply chain best practices
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project demands
